Honey, I feel you.  Believe me, I do.  I had a horrible time recovering, and I had FOUR leak tests.  That's how sure they were that no one could be in that much pain without a leak.  Just know that it will only get better from here.  You will be ok, and soon you will forget how awful it was, and you will be able to relax and recover

this sounds terrible .sorry you have so much pain. i had almost none due to anesthetic in the "inflation" gas, morphine button, torodol shot, prescriptions for pain drugs and a host of things my surgeon and hospital staff did to avoid pain. i would demand pain drugs. such severe pain is not necessary. DRUGS ARE THE ANSWER. d

Yeah, my pain level post op was at a 5/10 maybe. The pain pump was not working for the first 10 hours and was no big issue. Day 2 and 3 the pain was at 3/10.

Did you lose weight on the pre op diet? More room for the surgeon to move his tools around in.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in pain. Hang in there sweetie.

I was miserable after my surgery. I had to stay in the hospital a week because my tummy was swollen shut and I couldn't get fluids down. You talk about pain! Oh goodness it was awful.I couldn't get enough of my pain meds & forget about that gas pain!

That was unbearable. It gets better trust me. Hang in there!

I am sorry they did not give you good medication. I had pain but it was not bad at all I had good drugs helping me. The day I did come come I got on here saying a truck had hit me and did not kill me lol. That pain was bad the day I came home.

Gas sucks but it is true if you do walk you will fart and burp so get to it and you will feel better soon.

Take care val
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I just got sleeved July 14th and I must agree, there is some pain, but it will pass. I will pray if you don't mind as we go thru this. Right now I try to go out walking everyday with my husband, at least 30 minutes (stop in between if necessary), but it does get better. Thank God I was able to stop all pain meds the second day, and they got me up and walking (barely) after 6 hours had passed. It was a short walk across the room, but I was amazed I did it at all. Hope to talk to you soon.

My pain was awful! And your right nobody tells you about it. But it doesnt last long and then the benefits of the surgery start. Sort of like child birth I guess, you forget all about it when you hold your baby....well, when you see the numbers on the scale and feel the difference in your clothes, then its all worth it!

My experience was not all roses and powdered sugar either.  The anesthetist told me to expect a feeling of "weight" on my chest for about 30 minutes after waking up, and that if the pain persisted after that I would be given medication.  I did not have a pain pump.  I woke up with pressure in my chest and it didn't go away.  It didn't really hurt, but it was bothersome.  Then, then next morning, I threw up a heap of blood and blood clots.  I felt a lot better immediately afterwards, but then the pain came back.  The nurse gave me paracetamol (actaminophen) and that helped a bit, but I couldn't lift myself upright or get up from bed.  The nurses hounded me to get up and walk and to use my spirometer, but it hurt too much.  Finally I was given some codeine and I felt much better.  It is now day 5 and I am still taking codeine twice a day and it makes me quite sleepy.

It is better if you don't use all capital letters.  It makes it a lot easier to read.

I have never talked about pain because I had very little.  If you had that much, then your doctor should be shot for not properly medicating you.  There is absolutely NO excuse for any physician allowing a patient to be in that much pain.
