Egg Drop Soup??

I was reading one of the guides for after VSG from another medical group - seems like they are all different for the same surgery...  This particular guide said that you could have egg drop soup on the liquid phase.  I was doing the happy dance because I am having such a tough time with the protein and this would help a bit, but I want to ask others before I even try this if anyone has had egg drop soup?  Of course, I make mine very runny, but it seems like it is still a bit soon for eggs - opinions please?

I made mine with some chicken stock & 1 beaten egg & curry powder. My sleeve did not reject it and I ate this early on. It was a pleasure to eat something with some salt.

I also had egg drop soup early on, and concentrated on the liquid. Nice flavor change, and no adverse effects. Having a baby tummy but grown up taste buds is challenging.

My surgeon allows egg drop soup during this week, my third week of post op clear liquids. I almost missed out on the benefit of this because the one place I ordered it from it was disgusting so I was like forget it, but yesterday I ordered it from another spot and was in heaven! Now I don't have to worry so much about my protein intake! I despise protein shakes at this point!

Yep, egg drop soup and my sleeve agree with each other!  Yea!!  It was the best soup I think I have ever eaten!!!  I didn't eat too much of the egg though.  I bought Lipton's noodle soup (in the box), made it, then strained all the noodles out of it, whipped up an egg and stirred it quickly into the boiling broth - heaven!!!!
