Did the Doctor weigh you with clothes on?

Okay so I see the surgeon tomorrow for my first consult. I am just shy of a 40 BMI which would make insurance coverage a slam dunk.  I'm wondering if I could wear heavy shoes and clothes to give me that little extra push.  Did the doctor examine you at the first meeting? or just talk?

Yes they weighted me with cloths on. And if I w pockets wanted I could have added some weight in my pocket they did not check for that lol. But I was big enough. They put me in a room I waited for my doctor to come in. Which would have let me put the weights in my purse if I had done that.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

They're not going to make you take anything off, so wear what you want.  No exam to speak of - weigh in, blood pressure, listen to heart, describe the surgery.  For my first visit, I saw the PA and she did all the BMI calculations and let me know what other tests I needed to do.  Didn't see the surgeon until I was pretty much cleared to go.

Seriously, I ate a big meal and like 48 oz water and went up 6 lbs :-p Add some heavy clothes, some items in your pocket, and your good to go.

At my consult meeting we just talked.  Each time I weigh I take my socks and shoes off because their scale calculates fat mass, BMI and a bunch of other stuff, not just my weight.  I'd wear normal clothes for the weather, I wouldn't go out of my way  to weigh more.  Do you have any co-morbidities?  Pain?  Etc....

My surgeon weighs us with clothes on, and then subtracts 2lbs.

However, my PCM doesn't take off any weight, and his scale weighs me 4lbs heavier than mine at home, and a total of 6lbs higher (with the 2lb difference) from my surgeon's scale.
