If you were to eat tuna fish with pickle relish how much would you eat? Since you do not weigh it do you measure it in a measuring cup?

Well, at this point I can just look at it....based on the deck of cards method.

Use the measuring devices till you get used to what things look like. You can't bring those devices in restaurants with you!

Sublimate has a great method with pre measured bowls.

It is really easy.... my friends can look at my plate and tell me how much I'm gonna eat!

But in your case.... you know what's going on.... just keep doin what your doin.....try the volume thing.... I will admit a lot of the time it is close between weight and volume.

I guess my real point is to under eat your sleeve.

Thanks for the post Frisco.  I am six weeks out and very frustrated. I've only lost 18.3 lbs.  Most of that weight was in the first 2 weeks.  I really appreciate your advice.  I always measure my food by volume so I will continue to do that.  How many ounces of food do you eat at a meal now?  Thanks again for the wisdom.  It really helps us newbies.

Hey Tammy,

I can eat about 2-3 oz. of dense protein.

Tonight for dinner:

- 2oz. Chicken

- 2oz. Broccoli

- Full fat mayo mixed with soy sauce.

Keep in mind I'm in maintenance and I still have a protein drink in the morning and sometimes eat a protein bar at the end of the day if my protein count is a little low.

I try and keep Wendy's Chili or Egg Salad or Tuna Salad in the fridge all the time for quick snacks. I also now eat Veggie only snacks to get the nutrition and fiber.

 Hi Frisco:

I like the addition of a little veggies.  Using today as an example with 2 ounces of chicken at dinner, how did you get to 60 grams of protein with the est of the day

Thanks Frisco!  I try to follow your advice about not eating until I am full, and measuring my food.   I am six weeks out.  Yesterday I ate too fast/too much and experienced gut wrenching, pun intended,  sleeve pain.     It took about five minutes after my last bite before I felt pain and restriction.    About 15 minutes later, I threw up for the first time.  As bad as this experience was, it is a great deterrent to overeating and eating to fast. 

I have a question. How do I chew a tiny bite of soft food 25 times?  It disappears in my mouth after about 10 chews.

Hey all of you newbies, when Frisco speaks, you should listen.  This guy knows his stuff.  I also like Sublimate's method of using small bows that are already premeasured for you.  Makes life easier.
