When I get my surgery, Im taking a month off. Reading the forum I have seen some return to work in as little as a week. I think thats too soon though. At least too soon for me.

I was told to expect a 6 wk. recovery time but I think I will probably bounce back quicker than that.

I was off work for 2 weeks and had to leave early for 2 or 3 days after I came back.  A few people seem to be in really good shape right away after surgery, but that wsn't my case.

I didn't have a lot of pain, but my energy and stamina were really lacking even though I have a desk job.  If you have a job with any lifting or other physical work, your surgeon will probably require more time off.

I took 21 days off because I had the time available.
Two of my co-workers who had the sleeve returned to work (desk jobs) 1 week post-op.

I took 4 weeks off and that was enough for me.  I started getting my energy back on the 4th week.

Thanks guys!!!  I would like to take a month off to heal properly and effectively learn how to prepare and eat my food.  Especially  considering all my office does is eat, I mentally have to get over that barrier!
