JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
It was hard for me too, at first, so I feel your pain. It will get easier as you can drink a little bit faster. I liked the grape Propel water zero, but none of the other flavors. I liked Sobe zero calorie LifeWater in a couple of the flavors. I didn't love any of the crystal light flavors, but like someone else mentioned, the Hawaiian punch brand has a few flavors that are different. My husband loved them, and I like them sometimes, too, but they are not something I can drink all the time. Mostly I just force myself to drink water plain. I remember, though, how hard it was at first, and I can tell you it gets SO MUCH BETTER. Congrats on your surgery, and I hope the water situation gets easier for you soon (for your husband's sake, too).
I use this wonderful stuff called True Lemon/Lime/Orange. It's crystalized citrus (easier and more convenient than keeping fresh fruit in the house, plus it's portable) with less than a gram of carbs per packet. It's NOT sweetened at all and adds a little something to water so I can drink it (I drank tons of water pre-surgery but I can't handle it plain anymore and hate aspartame which is all Crystal Light had, yuck). Plus, I don't want sweet drinks all the time. Using lemon or lime wedges is a good suggestion, too, but I can throw these packets in my purse and have them with me no matter where I go.
This is their website but it's available in stores. For whatever reason, it's in the same area as the splenda in my local stores, even though it's not a sweetener. http://www.truelemon.com/

I have exactly the same problem so I'm glad you posted this. I get so tired of plain water I actually feel nausous when I pick up the glass to drink more. I can't drink the artificually sweetened drinks because 1) after taste and 2) it upsets my stomach. Consequently, I'm not getting enough fluids and most of the time, I don't feel good. I think I've tried every thing that everyone above suggested. The Sobe are the worst, too sweet. The same with the vitamin waters. I haven't tried the Mio yet or just putting a lemon and some stevia in my water so I think I'll try those. Good luck and let me know if you find something.
