About the only water I can drink straight post op is Fiji water....iunno why but it really is good....but I have been making half strength crystal light, or making it full strength and pouring it over soni**** to where the ice melts quickly and the taste is just right...

Propel Zero... grape is my favorite.  If the bottled versions are too sweet for you, get the powder packets and experiment with putting in enough to add taste without being overwhelming.

I am almost four months out and I can't drink water or artificial sugar. I loved water before surgery and drank tons all day long. The joke at work was a fish could live in my stomach. Anyway, I drink decaffeinated tea and once in a while I add a Minute Maid Light. MML has five calories a can.

Have you tried mixing things to water such as your gatorade or crystal light.  Like make your 16oz thing of crystal light and slowly add it to a cup of water to SEE if you can get it to a point when you aren't gagging on water.  The same can be done with the gatorade.  You can do this with apple juice and/or anything.

If there is a Walmart near you they have a powered zero calorie drink similar to Crystal Light. It is their brand, Great Value, but come in flavors like fruit punch, peach tea, cherry, grape (reminds me of grape Kool-Aid) and many more. Just a suggestion.

Good Luck!

Here's a few ideas:

- add a light lemon juice and stevia or splenda - not enough for lemonade but enough for flavor
- Soak a vanilla bean in water
- mint leaves soaked in your water
- drink herbal teas (hot or cold)
- check out a product called stevita (orange flavor) on amazon
- Try different brands of water.. I found that I can drink Evian water.. sounds weird but true!
- I also use vitamin C drinks I bought from amazon.. orange flavored plus you get extra vit C!

P.S. Be careful with the True Lemon stuff.. it has sugar in it - very little but it does have it (I'm super sensitive to sugar so I'm ultra conservative about what products I use)

For me crystal light helped because I just couldn't drink plain water.  I used to love it and still I have to choke it down.  Why? I am trying to drink less of the crystal light now because someone mentioned that some bodies think the sugar free is actually suger....and I was wondering if mine did.  good luck
