I'M GETTING MAD AND FRUSTRATED!!

It's been over 5 days now and I haven't lost an ounce. I am 4 weeks post op and I know it's normal to stall at 3 weeks and that's what I keep telling myself but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I have to lose another 13 lbs before I go back to the dr on 5/2 and I'm not going to make it like this. I'm trying to get in all my liquids but usually only get about 40 oz. in and 1 protein drink which is 30 grams of protein. I've been doing this all along and losing weight just fine and now all of a sudden...nothing. Encouragement needed, please!!

Is that 13 more pounds something your doctor said or something that you would like to see happen.  Hard to imagine any doc that has been in Weightloss field for some time would expect you to lose X amount by X time.  I could see if you were farther out, but not right in the beginning. Honestly, there is little more you could do to coax your body into losing when it hits that first stall.  Just keep doing the best that you can to get your water, protein and vitamins in. Exercise may help if you haven't started that already, but otherwise, your body is going to start to lose again when it is darn ready to.  Don't get yourself stressed if you don't come close to that 13 more pound mark, not saying you couldn't do it, but don't get frustrated if it doesn't happen , K?

Yes, my doctor gave me a goal which seemed like a very reasonable goal at the time, and at the rate at which I was losing but since I've stalled, I'm not so sure anymore. I'm gonna try to up my protein and exercise more and see what happens. Thank you.

I am right there with you.  I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow  and haven't lost anything in 2 weeks.  I did however lose 6 inches, so that made me feel a little better.  I am trying to make sure I eat every couple of hours and get in my protein.  Other than that I'm not sure what else to do.

Good luck to you!  I'm sure this is temporary for both of us!

Even though 30 grams of protien is what you have been doing, it's only about 1/2 of what you need for your health.  You need to up that number!  I would hate for you to suffer ill effects from lack of nutrition!  Best wishes, your stall will break!

It sounds like a classic first stall. Keep your focus on getting in your protein and liquid, and start exercising if you haven't already. Eventually your body will catch up and the weight will come off.

Measurements are a great motivator at a time like this!

When you start to stall its time to get some more liquids in you in you.. and just keep in mind when you stall you are losing inches so make sure to measure..
