need a little help from my friends! protein shake suggestions needed
Happy Saturday,
My shake in the morning is Vanillia Unjury but it has to be with vanilla Silk light Soy Milk and half of a banana and it is yummy. I tried just adding regular skim and I didn't like it. I need the banana for the potassium because I have muscle cramps all the time and was low on potassium even before VSG. Good luck, I know it is hard to get restarted after falling off a bit. Got my total Gym today so I am going to try to work out the arms a little. Nothing to much since I am just 3 months out.

Mary's trying to get healthy:
Hi Jeani!
I agree with a previous poster about the Premier from Costco. Lately it seems to be thicker, and they really fill me up. I often drink one about 4 pm at work (takes me a good hour to get it down, it's so thick), and that lasts until I can get home and prepare dinner around 6:30 or 7.
I was so tickled when I read on OH about the vanilla flavor, so when it came to my Costco I bought a case. Yuck! There's something in it that tastes off to me. So you migh****ch that, but the chocolate is OK. If I can pour it in a glass and stir in some extra sweetener, it's even better.
Good luck!

I love the Premier Protein chocolate! It's my staple protein shake, but I alternate with Bariatric Advantage shakes because I bought a lot of it and want to use it up. I prefer the PP.
I agree with you on the vanilla flavor being off, and I found it a bit gritty, so no more of that for me. I'm happy to use chocolate as the base and add a little extract if I want a change of flavor ... like mint, almond, coconut, or raspberry. I use the baking extracts and the SF Torani syrups and have a nice variety of tastes to keep boredom away, but chocolate really is nice on it's own, too!
The PP satisfies me longer than the BA does. Don't know why, but I keep it in the fridge (pop the whole case in when I open one) and it's so handy. I prefer my shakes ice cold, but the PP is good at room temp, too, so it's my drink of choice when I'm on the road. I like to get out and go now, and it's readily available anywhere there's a Costco, so I'm set on all my travels! Yippee!!
Good luck! Hugs!

HI Jeani,
I start my diet Monday(April 18th), I am going to try the Jay Roy, you can buy little packets from Whole Foods, to try them out, that is what I have.. They cost me $2.99 for one pack.. I like the Slim Fast Low Carb, and I will be drinking a lot of water, Crystal Light, and Decaf tea..
Have a great Saturday
