Prior to surgery I was drinking crystal lite like crazy. Now I can't really stomach the stuff, so I'm attached to my water bottle all day long.

Since my surgery I don't care for the brand of Crystal lite.  I have been drinking the Walmart brand of Orange, and the Hawiian Punch brand of Grape - it is strange how we only like certain things after surgery.

Funny how tastes change after surgery.  I lost any desire for coffee, and I loved coffee, can't stand it now.  Same with the water sweeteners like Crystal Lite.  My tummy likes to be warm, so I now sip tea all day.  Mostly decaf, and herbal teas in the afternoon.  Good luck!

I still use Crystal Lite, but mix it with 32 oz instead of 8 or 16.

Thats exactly what I do.  Those packets say 16.9 oz of water and there is just no way.  32oz makes it just right =)

My tastes after surgery are really odd. I used to have a major sweet tooth (I probably gained most of my weight on brownies, cakes, cookies, etc.), and now I can't seem to stand anything sweet. Yet, I do still like  raspberry crystal light and one brand of low sugar hot chocolate. So, go figure. Makes no sense to me!

I was never a big fan before surgery but I thought I'd try something other than water when I was a few weeks out. Couldn't do it. Way too sweet. 'Twas gross. So back to water I went...lol I haven't had anything to drink other than water and protein drinks in over two months (including pre-op diet) and it really hasn't bothered me, surprisingly.

I still drink it but instead of a whole package in a bottle i put maybe a quarter of it. I cant stand anything too strong tasting now. But my taste buds have changed a lot since surgery

what do you wanna be when you grow up little girl? i wanna be a loser and sit on the bench sir! (45 lbs lost pre op) 300lbs starting weight, currently 141lbs! Lowest has been 135lbs and hoping to get back to that.

Nothing wrong with my taste buds, they are as normal as they were before surgery.  I do like a change from drinking water all the time and also use Crystal Lite or some variation of it and I also dilute it.  Gives the water some flavor without the artificial sweetener overload!
