 Your daughter is learning by your example.  It is not ok to continue your life in a dysfunctional relationship nor is it ok to be the only one doing and working on the relationship.  I applaud your courage and determination.  You are strong and powerful but most importantly you deserve to be treated with respect and not taken advantage of.  You go girl!  Get your self together and reach for your happiness! 

I am a single mom also.  It sounds like you have a great handle on things, but we are here for you when you need us!  A lot of men are more like children than grown ups and now you will have more time to focus on you!  Just dont let him bring you down!!!

I don't think you are going to miss him one iota infact you have started your weight loss programme with a bang...you have just lost 250lb of useless fat...

Sounds to me like you already have lost a couple hundred pounds or so of unwanted weight! Nice kick start to the rest of your weight loss process!

Seriously though - he sounds controlling and borderline abusive, and you may find life easier as a single mom, than you have found it as mom married to someone who drains rather than replenishes you. Best of luck, and feel free to pm me with any questions etc.
