Did anyone go from hating exercise to loving it?

I *HATE* it.  Probably b/c I am so overweight it is embarrassing to even try.  But everyone assures me that once I start exercising I will *LOVE* it.  I cant even imagine that.  I struggle to walk 1/2 a mile now.  I would love to be able to run around the block!

What kinds of exercises do you do/ enjoy?

I'm not sure I ever "hated" it - but I sure had to make myself do it - did NOT look forward to it at all. Now I'm really disappointed when I miss a scheduled day. I do a boot camp 3x/week ****asionally 4) b/c that's all my schedule allows. I look forward to it big-time. Really wish I could go more. You'll get there - just MAKE yourself do it for now. Fake it till you make it!

Oh you have a great surgeon who makes a nice small sleeve,  so soon now for you, i'm so happy for you.   I hated exercise,  you could never have made me believe i would some day love it.  I have mostly walked for exercise.  Recently i started lifting hand weights and really liked it  now i have found kettlebells and i LOVE it,  I'm sad on the days i can't do it  LOL   you have to do one day on one day off.   Its so fun and i feel stronger.  Can't wait for you to join us on the bench.  :o) jeani

Its a weight with a handle,  kinda looks like a kettle without the spout.  It was used for years in Russia for training military and law enforcement.  Now its very popular here.   I found it on youtube.  If your interested go to youtube and check it out.  I love doing it.   I'm getting stronger and my body is changing and that makes me very happy  :o) jeani

I've always been an active guy, even at my heaviest (425) I was golfing, gardening and doing many other things - but always getting out of breath and not able to do many things easily.  Then came the regular "exercise" to get ready for VSG - walking a mile, every day, in my hilly neighborhood.  Then I added another half-mile to the walk, then another, so by my surgery date I was doing 2 miles daily - not fast, but every day.  Since then I've upped it to a minimum of 3 miles daily - and I'm now clocking in at 60-62 minutes for the walk - not bad for an old (65) geezer.  I've also added gym work (strength training a couple of times per week).  My daily goal is to burn 500 calories from exercise and I make it every day - sometimes way more.  Week before last I walked a total of 27 miles - whi*****luded 2 round of golf, pushing the clubs on hilly courses.
Do I love "exercise?"  Well, I love what exercise and sleevie have done for me - down 120 lbs. at 5 mos. post op. No more diabetes, sleep apnea or high blood pressure.   And I love that I feel 20 years younger.  And I love that I can do so many more things now.  So, yes, I guess I do "love exercise."

I was at my doctors at 3 months out. He asked me if I was exercising of course I told him yes he told me no your not your weight would show it and than he told me I was not doing good and made me so mad I went and joined the gym.

I hated it i would only walk a mile than go sit on the bikes lol. I did that for 3 weeks than I try ed the elliptical machine and could only stay on it for 10 minutes. I went back ever day for a week and omg I feel in love with my gym I am in there now 7 days a week now. I get such a rush after working out and you will to.

I had to go back to my doctors and tell him thank you so much for being so mean to me. It made me mad and I joined the gym and love to work out now. Really the best thing is the shower after working out and the rush to. Good luck you will love it soon.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.
