How long off work?

My surgery is on a Monday. I had a lapriscopic hysterectomy last year and went back to work after three days. It wasn't too bad. What's the least amount of time I can get away with?

Thanks! :)

I had 4 weeks off but me personally I wouldve been ok to go back after 2 weeks.

I'd say it depends on what you do.  i went back after 5 days but I only work part time and in an office.  i was tired at the end of the day for sure.

I took advantage of my benefits and took 4 weeks. I agree with the previous post that I probably would have been okay at 2 weeks. I would imagine the biggest issue would be fatigue. I had no pain after surgery just some soreness around the suture areas.

Best of Luck!

Thank you!  I just sit at a desk and sort mail. (It's a county job, so it's really easy. I could almost just sit at my desk. LOL) I just want to make sure I can get there. I can even ride the elevator up to the second floor! :) Thanks again for all of your responses! :)

I answer the switchboard for a large hospital.  I went back after two weeks.  THe only problem I had was being a little fatigued at the end of my shift.

Best wishes!

I took off 3 weeks but couldve stayed out 4. Im glad I did too because I needed a nap everyday around 4pm. I think it had to do with my sugar level dropping at that time of day. I was even tired when I went back...
