Carmilita....your absolutely right!!  It is individual.....and I do think hormones had a big play in this as it was just the last couple days only that I have felt like this.  Had an actual 2 1/2  oz meal this evening with veggies  and enjoyed it thoroughly , left the table totally satisfied!   Hanging tuff!!! Thanks!

No worries Didi, you'll be able to eat more as your new tummy continues to heal.  But I do hear ya about being satisfied with meals. I used to be such a foodie before surgery...appreciating a good meal whether I made it myself or went out for it.  Today is another story.  I don't get that climax anymore.  In fact, after counting my calories of what I've eaten today, I knew I couldn't have an entire meal (ok, half of what used to be an entire meal).  So I opted for a protein shake as dinner, barely foreplay!

Some days I'm a little sad that it's come to this, and other days I couldn't be happier now that I have control of my eating habits!  It's one thing knowing how good I feel and how much healthier I am.  But it's another when other people notice!

Good luck on your new journey!

Thanks ...the tummy is definitely still healing.   Being that my tummy seems to like very soft and full liquid foods more I have been really only having a dense protein for one meal and thatseems to work for me right now.  I definitely have no regrets and love my progress!! Congratulations on meeting your goal!!

hey didi!!!

Ive been MIA for some time... sorry.   I had the same exact thing happen to me.  I was doing so well in the beginning with the soft liquid foods.  By the time i got to solids I thouht I was a champion.  WRONG... Week 5 and 6 was very hard..... all the food tasted like metal and I was frustrated with the amount I was eating. I was regretting having the damn surgery!  I struggled sooooooo much with certain foods.... everything went down heavy and I felt like **** almost immediately.  BUT.... I had to learn how to eat.  First make sure you chew chew chew and when you think you chewed enough chew some more LOL.  During this time I had to grind that food so small it was a task.  BUT ... slowly I was eating more and taking more time eat.
I am so happy with my progress.  I have lost 57lbs in 6wks.  and last week I even had popeyes chicken.  Its true that it took me ALL day to finish 3 chicken strips but I did .... and I enjoyed it!! So I tell you this for you to know that the enjoymet of food IS NOT over!!  So smile... and yes you will be frustrated but trial and error... u will learn what works for you.!!!

Keep up the good work.
