HUGE NSV!! 1st 5K
I ran my very first 5K this morning!!! I didn't get to train for it very much, so I thought I would be walking quite a bit of it. I ran the whole thing!!! I did 35.5 min. I bawled like a baby when I crossed the finish line. It was a remarkable feeling. Of all my NSV's and even loosing 100lbs. didn't hit me like this did. I don't know if it was the accomplishment, the fact that it's mother's day, (I lost my son 3 years ago)or emotions in general, but I think one person was seriously concerned. I had to pull it together. Anyway, I could have never have done this last year. I LOVE MY SLEEVE!! Oh, and Happy Mother's Day!
Huge, huge, huge! CONGRATS!!!!!
I had my sleeve a few weeks after you and have lost almost as much weight and I can't imagine even trying to run a 5K. Maybe I'll try it -- you've inspired me.
I'm so sorry about the loss of your son -- honestly can't imagine your pain. I think he would have been very proud of you today.
Happy Mother's Day.

Thank you for sharing such an inspiring post! Running is not my thing, and sometimes I am afraid walking isn't either (my knees hurt like heck most of the time now), so my hat is truly off to you, Sweetie...am sure your son was helping you in his own special way, too. Thank you for such a nice dose of encouragement...best wishes, Viv
