Is this normal?

I am about 10 days out, I have lost 14 pounds, yeah! But, I am feeling pretty run down. I am trying to eat and drink, Im getting all my fluid in which my Dr and Nut said was more important the first 2 weeks, but I have been feeling kinda "off" not exactly like Im going to pass out but kinda light headed? My best educated guess is that it is not taking in enough calories or protein or something, but what do you do when you dont want anything? Im on mushy foods now, supposed to wait another week or so before refried beans or pureed meats, but other then that if it goes in a blender and comes out smooth Im pretty much cleared for it. Is there anything you eat when you dont want anything that just tastes amazing and you can always eat it?
Also I have one of my incisions that Im concerned with (I have my follow up on Monday) it is just not closing up like the rest of them. Now this is the incision they pulled my stomach out of and the Dr had it packed up until I left the hospital and when I left they put steri strips on it and I was told to leave them till they fell off. Well there is one left, the others fell off, but it just doesnt seem like its closing up? How long do incisions usually take to close? I was told some amount of fluid from the area was normal and only to be concerned if it changed (which it hasnt) but how long will it last?
Sorry about all the questions crammed into one, I just finished my last final for the semester so I finally had some time to get on here!
Thanks everyone!

I would say watch your blood pressure, especially if you are/were on medication. I had a light headed feeling alot for teh first month or two because of that but it is gone now. Especially when standing up. In general you may just be weak and need a good deal of rest. I know for me, it took finally getting about 16 hours of good sleep all at once before I caught up and woke up feeling great ever since. In any case, if it gets worse, consider the ER even if you are going monday to the doctor. Better safe than sorry.

10 days out?! You are doing great!! Your body is trying to heal itself so get extra rest. I felt the same way some days and some days right after surgery I had so much energy I couldn't even sleep at night.
I am a little over a month out and just got back from a 4 mile walk. I was walking 30 minutes briskly at 4 days out. Some days I had to drag myself to do it then come home and nap but it is worth it to lose as much as possible as soon as possible for me anyway.
Keep an eye on that incision. I still had a scab on one incision as of 2 days ago, it was just hanging and I pulled it a little and a stitch came out with it. Not sure if that was okay or not but it feels better. Guess the stitch was trying to make its way out anyway. They glued my incisions on the outside, no steri strips.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen right around the same time. You just had major surgery and your body needs rest and healing.  Also, the change in calories and nutrients and fluids could be the culprit. Make sure you are drinking enough so you don't get dehydrated, eat every so often wether you feel like it or not (pudding and sugar free fudgesicles are always nummy) and yes, watch your blood pressure.  As far as the incision...mine took a long while to heal too. Don't fret about it since you are seeing your surgeon Monday unless the drainage becomes thick and yellow or green and smell "dead" or if the area becomes red and warm.  Just make sure that it is kept nice and dry and covered loosely.

Run down and tired is par for the course. I saw my Dr at 12 days out and being so tired was my first complaint. He told me it was normal and that it can last while my calorie intake was down. I swear from that point on I slept for 3 weeks straight lol. I really didn't pull out of that tired rut until about 7 weeks out.
However light headedness...it could be from low calories or something more serious like high blood pressure, so I'd take that symptom a little more seriously and report that to your Dr.

I loved the Pacific Soup's...tomato and red pepper cream soup. You can find it most chain grocery stores.  I don't like tomato soup really but this tastes a lot different with a bit of sweetness to it. I had it every night for dinner for the first two weeks and looked forward to it every day :)

Congrats on your new sleeve, hope you reach goal in no time :)

After the first few days I have felt fine except for dizziness (which is now much better 3 1/2 weeks out) and up and down energy level. Walking helps--it is helping rebuild my strength. I had high blood pressure, and it dropped to the normal range the week after surgery, so, it could have been my bp meds. But, still had some dizziness after stopping the meds. It could be calorie restriction. Just stand up slowly and make sure you are well balanced before walking without something to balance on. Good luck!
