STILL ALIVE
Hi All,
Well, I been sick again, in the hospital. Dr. said I was eating to much to fast. I have tried to do everything that I have been told to do. I am to eat 1oz food, later 2-4 oz of protein., plus water in between. Very depressing. I feel like I am going no were fast.. I really don't mean to be a downer, sorry. I have thought of you all and you are in my prayers. I still would have my sleeve in a second. Be five weeks this Wed since surgery.
God bless
Evie

I would say at 5 weeks, I was eating one ounce of egg salad, or tuna salad or cottage cheese ( I prefered ricotta)or yogurt at a time. I probably ate that 4 or 5 times a day.
Take it easy on your tummy. Sorry you have had problems. My doc was very strict with what we could eat---and when. I think although I hated it THEN; I am glad he advanced me soooo slowly with foods... Even now, I follow his guideline to try one new thing a day. Never two ! And at four months out, almost 5 - he still says no to apple skins, raw carrots, celery, and other stringy vegies and fruits.
I'm sending gentle hugs your way.

So glad to see you back but sad to hear you are having issues. That is the hardest part of all the surgeries I think, learning to eat those tiny bites. For us bandsters we are to eat bites the size of a pencil eraser, chew till liquidy and then make sure that bite is down before taking another. You might try doing it this way and see if it helps. I know it just seems like you'll never get enough to eat that way but honest you will. I'll be praying for this to get easier for you. God bless!
I think we all go through this stage sometimes I still forget to slow down. A baby spoon is very helpful and put the spoon down between bites and count to 50. Thats what I did and still do sometimes when I am eating. Tonight I had mash potatoes and meatloaf. I ate it to fast and the meatloaf got stuck talk about uncomfortable.
