I am so glad to hear that! I haven't been posting lately, mostly because I haven't lost any weight.. at least the scale isn't moving (however, clothes have been fitting much looser). Seeing you say that will motivate me to start updating my blogs and pics more often. Let me know if you have anything in particular you want me to touch on/ share pics of.
What I was most curious about as a pre-opper was:
A) how much I could expect to lose week by week. I had surgery right before memorial day. How much would I lose before Independence day?, labor day?, etc. That's why I update my blog with a week by week breakdown of losses. Of course, everyone is different but I couldn't find any blogs that did this when I was pre-op. I have stopped doing this unless the scale moves one way or the other.
B) how much loose skin would I have and how would my strech marks look? (see video)

You look wonderful! What a great choice to do this at 20. I'm almost 29 so I figure I'll have one good year left in my 20s at least

Hey Blair.....

I don't know how I missed your post.... just seeing it for the first time right now !!!

Congrats on "One Great Year" !!!

I am soooooo impressed what you and your sister have done..... Both of you are "Wise Beyond Your Years"

Both you and your sister have been very reveling about your feelings and experiences...... This alone will be very inspirational for everybody considering WLS, especially the younger crowd that are still "trapped".

I wish I had done this many years ago......although it probably would have been some kind of bypass, so maybe my timing was right for me.... but I know I let a lot of life go by sitting on that couch watching TV eating Chinese Food !!!!

Congrats! Enjoy!

Frisco.. I've heard so much about you! lol
As far as posts go, I just try to be honest, no matter the kind of heat  I will take on here. I know BrownBlonde feels the same way.

Even though I had surgery aat 20, I almost wish I had done it earlier too. I completely understand mothers who take their morbidly obese children to have the surgery in Mexico. Nothing is worse than the pain of being an overweight child, other than being a parent having to witness it in your child.

^^sorry for rambling. Thanks for your encouragement and kind words!

OK  I'm guessing you're the quiet one?  Only cuz Bonnie's 1 year post was so long i needed a snack and a nap halfway through it! ha ha!  Congratulations on your success!  It is so cool you have done this "life changing" journey together!  I wish my bro would do it.  Congrats again!

Bahahah!! I am the younger (by almost 3 whole years) and learned at a very young age to let my sister do the talking! I think my parents thought something was wrong with me. I was also her personal servant, and to this day she will tell you about "the day [i] learned to say no to [her]".
To be fair, she started writing her blog/post about 3 weeks ago. She also stole everything I wanted to say!

Also, I usually post on the WLS in your 20s board. I've posted over here a few times though.

For more information add me and look through my blogs. I used to post weekly but I have been busy with finals and such.

Thanks so much for your congratulations.
