Gallbladder Cleanse

So I'm having gallbladder issues.  Vague pains on the right side nothing spectacular but I've also developed vomitting.  Out of nowhere I get this awful intense nausea and then vomit nothing but bile!!    It is really quite gross.  I haven't talked to my surgeon about it yet. Forgot to at my last appt, but of course since then my symptoms have increased and gotten significantly worse.  So I have no idea if he'll want to take it out or what.  But either way I HAVE to wait until after September 27th.  That's when I've been at work for 12 mos and will qualify for FMLA.  I got total crap from my boss when she found out I was having WLS.  She was mad I didn't disclose that before she approved my 2 weeks off.

Anyway that's beside the point.  So I've been looking into other ways to help my funky gallbladder.  And a friend who has certifications is holistic medicine suggested a cleanse.  It's really kind of gross sounding.  Involves drinking apple or grapefruit juice for 24-48 hrs then follow with 4oz olive oil mixed with 4oz lemon juice.  So obviously I'm concerned about the fasting part of it only surviving on juice for 24-48hrs.

My question is has anyone else tried this post op?  I'll probably wait to see what my doc has to say I see him in a week and a half or something but was just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

I don't know anything about the cleansing, but I hope it works.

My experience with my gallbladder is that my pain got progressively worse to the point where I walked slumped over.  This happened within a period of 3 weeks after my first gallbladder attack.  I hope you can hold out till after September, but you might not be able to wait.

The concern I have about doing a gallbladder cleanse, is that if you have stones you might flush them out. There is always a concern about a stone getting lodged which will cause very serious pain. Years ago when I was diagnosed with gallstones, my surgeon wanted to do surgery immediately because he was concerned I would end up in emergency surgery if a stone got lodged in the duct. You should consult your surgeon before you try this.
