Wow... you were where I'm starting... after reading a few texts lately that say that VSG isn't for higher BMI, you're giving me lots of hope here... You look freaking amazing! Well done!

Let me just say... with VSG you can succeed but a LOW CARB DIET is critical to success for those of us starting at a higher BMI.  I think those who have lost more than 100lb with the VSG would agree with me.  Some lightweights can do things like sample a little of everything.  People who get to be above 300lbs and who are average height usually have a metabolic issue, and that metabolic issue usually has to do with INSULIN.   Don't let the stats discourage you.  Pick up a low carb diet book or "Why We Get Fat and What to Do About it" by Gary Taubes, if you haven't done so already!  Feel free to email me anytime.  :)

Thanks, the stats aren't really discouraging as much as annoying, I guess. I figure that it's really all about me once I get 250 or so and what I'm willing to do to change... screw the stats. And yup, low carb has always worked in the past... staying on it has been an issue, that and I'm a serious volume eater. Thanks for the referral and the offer, I might just take you up on that!

I'd have to agree.. VSG along with a low carb diet have been critical to my success thus far.

Great Video and good luck!  Please let us know when you are back so we can follow your progress!  Just wondering what insurance you have?  I am considering the arm surgery after I finish my journey as its so bad now already.  Mine is worse than what I saw in your YT video and hangs in folds on one arm and just hangs on the other.  I have the rashes under the boobs but have for years but now they are also under the stomach.  I didn't really think there was anything that could be done for that.  Anyway good luck and we'll be thinking of you !

Thank you!!!  I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO.  Others who have that insurance here got approved for Brachioplasty through them.  I just feel so blessed that that insurance came into my life literally right on time (I JUST got that insurance and I did NOT chose it (it's through my job) and did NOT know in advance that they tend to cover brachioplasty).  I am not a super-bible-thumper but things like that just make me say... "God is GOOD!" :)

Thanks so much for sharing your video story and progress. I have lost 116 so far and still have 25-40 to go...haven't settled on an actual goal weight yet-I figure my body will settle that question for me when the time comes. I more about getting my body fat percentage in the mid 20's not so much what the scale number reads.

I just spoke with my surgeonabout reconstructive 2 weeks ago and he said not to even consider it until I have a year post surgery down. He also will only do 1 area at a time because we "sleevers" cannot get enough protein in every day to make the healing process effective to do multiple areas. He has seen poeple lose their nipples or have terrible issues because other docs have not practiced this procedure. Like you I need my arms done BAD! I'm so interested in seeing your Brazillian Butt  Lift and how that goes. I have lost so much back there I have pain when I sit centered too long - have to switch sides...at least I can cross my legs now!  Would love to know how you get 120+ grams of protein in. Thanks again!
