This weekend I went camping with my family for the first time. I was able to set up the tents, boat, hike around- and our tent site was at the top of a steep hill- and generally play from sun up to sun down.. We checked out yesterday morning and instead of coming home and vegging out, we actually went for a 5 mile hike over the Hudson River. Halway through the hike my hubby stopped in his tracks. He said, "honey I am so proud of you- 2 years ago you would never even have wanted to TRY this, and now we are here because of you, and **** I am tired and you are not".. ha ha.. I realized he was right! We are so much more active as a family and it is because of ME- I am so proud of MYSELF for changing my life!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

It was Shell! Even though I burnt my hair, and even though it poured the whole first night...it is amazing how much more fun life is when you just go with the flow!

Knock on wood . . . I've not had a hitch in this process so far. Minimal pain, no problems getting what I need in, no hunger at all. I am still just afraid and have some anxiety. That's me though. It is all good.
