CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION..another phase? SOS
You know.....your not not fav person and I suspect you feel the same about me......
But, You do you try to help people and I can rise above when the SOS flag is raised.....
Not sayin I have the answer your looking for.....
I have found meal increments play a big part in my physical hunger.
If I eat every two hours......guess what....I get hungry every two hours......
Since I figured this out......I eat every 4+ hours.....and I don't get hungry for 4+ hours....
It's kinda like a vicious circle.... your body likes to be regular......
Now with foods.....I like to mix that up .....I post pics of nice good quality food......Well....truth be known...I don't eat like that all the time.....think plastic fork and tuna outta the can.......lunch meat out of the insides of a Subway Sandwich (gross) a half of a Lean Cuisine.
Eating crappy food makes me savor and appreciate good food.
Also smaller bites so you can have more bites......
Spread your food across your plate.....not stacked up....a salad laid out flat looks huge!
I know that there is not one thing here that solves your issue....but like sub mentions....try and work on physical things first as they are easier to deal with.....

I sort of get those feelings at times, but fortunately it'll only last a few days for me. I'm speculating here, but maybe you need to shake your diet up a bit. Maybe you've been eating too many carbs? I know pre-WLS eating carbs made me want more carbs.
I relate those feelings to stress. I feel that way in the week before my period, and the doctor explained it's because the body is physically stressed out from the hormones. I'll also feel that way if I'm not sleeping enough.
Good luck. I hope you get to the root of it.

Yeah, I don't have anything really new to add-- I think the posters who mentioned getting checked out physically for vitamin/protein deficiencies made a good point, as did those who wondered whether or not you have had any recent changes in your life-- like your relationship with a partner if you have one, your finances, your friendships, your job, your neighbors or whatever else might have changed.
If it's physical, some lab tests will tell. If it's emotional/mental/psychological, try to journal about what changed and what feelings you're experiencing... or talk to a therapist or clergy-person. If you're still in contact with your surgeon's office and still like them, try to make an appointment with your favorite person from that office (the nurse coordinator, the dietician, the PA, whoever) to maybe gain some insight.
Or just lean on us here on the boards as many of us have leaned on you.

Good luck to you-- I hope it gets better soon.
