I'm new to this site.  I find it a bit overwhelming.

I had my sleeve done last week on the 11th. 

Just wanted to say hi, now off to figure this site out.

How do you get your sleeve date under your picture?

Hi, TexasMom65!  I'm also a patient of Dr. Nick!  I just got approved today and hope to have my surgery done in the next couple of weeks. I start my liquid diet tomorow, but thankfully, Dr. Nick allows a small meal a day.  I hope you find your way around this forum OK.  It can be a bit overwhelming, but stick with it!  It's a wealth of information!  Congratulations on being sleeved!

I too am new to the board but I am at the very beginning of the journey. I'm worried that my insurance won't cover the VSG. I guess I'll be finding that out in the near future.

Recovery has been great.  Just the pain on my left side from where they did most of the work from.  But each day it gets better.  I'm just tired of liquids, can't wait to have soft foods.....but have to wait 2 more weeks.

Kelly, Dr. Nick is great.  I hope you get your surgery date soon.  I'm excited for you.

welcome to the site!!  this is a great place for support, encouragement, and advice.  there are newbies and veterns.  i am a newbie myself just sleeved on May 31st.  whatever you may be experiencing good or bad, someone here has been through it and very willing to offer support.  and when you just want to share a milestone everyone is here for congrats...keep us updated
