Benefits of being a Slow Loser
I am hoping that being a slow loser means that when we hit maintenance we will have an easier time of it. I decided right from the beginning that I was going to go at this for life. The way I eat now, I will eat for the rest of my life. That means meals of mostly just meat, absolutely no soda, and a treat now and then. I don't know if not being so strict on my diet is making me lose slower or not, but I am still hap-hap-happy with my results thus far. Even though I have one of those male species in the house that had his sleeve 2 months ago and has already lost 67 frickin pounds!!! *sigh* But I think he will have a harder time in the long run keeping it off because he literally eats whatever he wants!
I feel like a slow loser, but maybe I'm not. I'm definitely not a fast loser, like some others on the boards here. Maybe like John suggested I could be a half-fast loser. Eh... not much of a surprise as I've been half-assed" at a lot of things!
I agree with enjoying the time it's taking me to walk and learn while on this journey. Re-learning how to eat is easier when I've got the time to do it, and I think it's definitely a lot less expensive to lose slower as the clothing in each new size lasts a bit longer.
To each his (or her) own... I'm just so happy with what I'm doing for myself!
