Scared something is stuck :(
Since Wednesday night, i've had this weird gassy feeling in my chest and throat. It felt like right after surgery when you can barely drink because everything is so tight. Well I went to my PCP yesterday who was a total idiot and wouldn't listen to anything I said. He gave me medicine for vomiting when I can't get anything in to begin with that i'd be able to vomit!
Anyways...I called my surgeons office today and they're setting up an endoscope for me hopefully today. They said for me to be on clear liquids for 24 hours but since I can't get liquids in they are hoping i can get seen today.
I'm scared because I am a big baby when it comes to doctors and needles and anything going down my throat when i'm awake. I'm 8 months out and wouldn't expect this now.
Have any of you experienced this?
What were your symptoms?

I actually had this happen a few weeks ago when I went out to dinner with my husband. I had a "filet mignon" which was the fattiest filet that I have ever had and it was very chewy. Instead of returning it like an idiot, I tried to chew it and chew it but there were some pieces that i could not get chewed completely but swallowed it anyways. The next day I felt as if there was a lump in the middle of my chest and everytime I drank if almost felt like it had to go over a speed bump to go down. I also found that I filled up very quickly eating the next day. It lasted for about a day and half and have not had any issues since then. It is best to get it checked out if it's for a long period of time and don't worry about the endoscopy, they knock you out for it and don't remember a thing. I had to have one before my surgery to check for hernia and it was and in and out thing. May just have to get someone to drive you home, some hospitals require it. Good luck, hope everything turns out well.
I'm not sure if its possible with our stomachs being so small but it could be a hietal hernia, I experienced what felicity2u experienced about a week ago from eating too thick oatmeal and it was not a pleasant experience I too had to go on liquids for 24 hours because of it and haven't eaten oatmeal since LoL But my prayer are with you!
