emergency. help!
yeah its reflux, (ive had several attacks like that over the years.. im on a stronger anti-acid) becuase i asphixiate (sp?) which is what it sounds like you did. Basically the acid in your stomach came up into your throat and you breathed it in which is why your lungs are hurting, you're basically having an asthma attack. Im hoping by now you are able to breathe a bit easier, when it happens to me i have to sit up for a while and breathe in real slow and easy (just try to remain calm, which is near impossible the first time it happens) I remember the first time i had it i thought i was having a heart attack so i know how panicked you are. I hope you are doing better now
First off...... Always get medical advise and diagnosis from a medical Doctor........
I am not a medical doctor or ever played one on TV or the bedroom for that matter.....
This what it sounds like to me.....
I had this a couple times after eating nuts late at nite before sleep......
I believe it to be reflux also.....It's getting pushed up past your esophagus..... and some has been sucked down through your airway into your throat and lungs. Results in choking, and burning sensation....takes some standing up and walking to get it to dissipate.
Some preventative measures:
- Make sure your last food eaten is at least an hour plus.
- Elevate your head while sleeping.
- PPI acid blocker if your not on one.
That's my non professional observation.
