Please evaluate what I'm eating - Why am I always starving?
You've gotten some great responses and I would only add that allergies to food can cause hunger like this. I have so many allergies that I've gotten allgery shots for the past 3 1/2 years.
You might want to try switching out your milk for Almond Milk. Also, try going gluten free instead of lower or no carbs. Typically, but not always, processed milk products like cheese and yogurt don't bother people who might be lactose intolerant and it does seem like alot of people find out they are lactose intolerant after this surgery - at least from what I've read. So, your cheese might still be okay. I am lactose intolerant now and I can tell you that I get that sort of painful grind in my stomach that you are talking about when I drink regular milk.
I hope you feel less hungery soon - that's a terrible feeling. Ugh.
As for your food, it looks good. Mushies don't hold me long even though I never experienced true hunger, I could eat those foods, and be empty faster.
Also, in regards to your PPI, that one might not be working for you and you might need to change.
I did not read through all of the replies, but these were my initial thoughts when I read your original topic.
As for hunger, Ghrelin is a hormone. It doesn't immediately leave our system just because the main producer is removed from the body. So, you might continue to feel hunger, and ghrelin is produced in other parts of the body. Also, not all VSG patient get 100% resolution of hunger.

She suggested I do the 3 meals as usual, but eat a small snack twice in between meals. You all might try that. It seems to have helped my some.
And make sure you get all your fluids in and she said at least 800 calories per day.
Hope it helps. I am still learning also.
I remember feeling the same way at that point. (It was really like the hunger pangs that I had experienced when diabetes had started).
Up until then, I could not feel anything from my sleeve. But considering the nerves are cut during the surgery and take time to recover it should be expected that we would have abnormal feelings as they heal. (I relate it to phantom limb pains in amputee -- the nervous system is just regrowing and the brain is trying to make sense of the new signals it is begining to recieve.)
I really think it is just part of the healing process. It does seem to go away for most in a few weeks. Good Luck!!
