My Relationship With Food
on August 27, 2012 8:17 pm
long story short... I have never had a bad relationship with food. always a very healthy eater with the exception of occasional junk food.  my issues were health related and that is another story in and of itself.  but now!!!! not so.  9 months out from sleeve surgery I began to do nothing but think about food non-stop.... and healthy food, sure, along with everything else on the planet!   not used to that at all and a little over a yr out now still not end in site to the wanting to eat everything I come in contact with.  I don't, but I want to.  and 30-1 hr after eating, I am hungry again!   so, that is my short version of how I can relate to you.   along with can't seem to get the last 20 lbs off.  up and down 5 lbs.  I know some of it is skin and that won't leave unless I have it removed, but would live to reach my goal.

SO FRUSTRATED
on April 26, 2012 3:07 pm
It has been quite some time since I wrote in this area....

I am so frustrated and trying really hard not to be.  I had surgery August 8, 2011 and to date have lost back and forth between 82-85 lbs...
Frustrated you say...why!!! You have done so good.

I know I have done good, but the weight keeps going back and forth now and has been for weeks...

Eating more as they think I am not eating enough, upped my exercise, and it still just goes back and forth.  I have between 25-30 lbs left to lose, depending on which day it is and I so wanted to have this off by June.

They also say I have in excess of 12-15 lbs of loose skin.... which insurance will not cover to have removed, so guess that is here to stay for a while.

Any suggestions from anyone that has gone through this before would be great.

WONDERING
on August 29, 2011 7:01 pm
Today marks 3 weeks since I had the sleeve surgery.  I have been soooooo sick.  I also had pain in my leg and they thought I probably had a blood clot so I had to go to the hospital.  Turns out that one of the main 3 veins in my legs was/is inflamed.  Leave it to me to be fruit.

I am having so much trouble, but at least now it doesn't feel like I have the intestinal flu, something stuck in my chest, and pleurosy all at the same time....now it just feels like everytime I put something in, fluids or food, that it gets stuck right in the middle of my chest....nauseated 24/7 most of the time.

I figure, and so does the nurse, that it has to do with all my health issues, and as she said, "everyone has a different story." She said my symptoms sounded so much like hers when she had surgery.

Just wishing it would get easier, and know in time it will.   But with the way it feels, I am not getting in near the fluids or food that I am supposed to.   Don't know what I can do differently though, so I will keep plugging along.

Have lost a little over 25 lbs  (this includes the weight I lost during the 2 weeks before surgery on the liquid diet) and blood pressure under control.  Praying more of my health issues will subside.

Anyone that has suggestion, that would be great.

God bless all and best of luck to all.
