Hi everyone I have not been on here in a long time due to not having internet but......I have my sleeve on Tuesday September 27, 2011. I am home now and doing good. My pain isn't too bad, mostly gas that is trying to come out. Can anyone tell me how long till you were able to get back to normal things like caring for you kids, cleaning house....etc?? I also find it hard to get in all the liquids that they want you to get in per day. Well that's about all I can say for now.

Hey, glad you're doing good. I had the same problem - couln't even come close to getting enough liquids in. All you pretty much do is keep trying and it's easier if you write it down for yourself and then you notice that either -you drank more than you thought or you're drinking less in which case it reminds you to have some more. It worked pretty good for me that way. In regards to getting up and around the house etc it took me about a week to be comfortable moving around but you still have to take it easy because the stitches inside need to heal. I bent over once trying to pick up the sprinkler and almost screamed as pain shot through me like i'd been shot - it was a freakin sprinkler for crying out loud but anyhow, just play it by ear and see how you feel. Just to be safe though don't do anything hard for the first couple of weeks, you won't get much energy during the liquid stage diet anyhow. good luck with the healing, the fun has only just begun!

Hi, I don't have any words of wisdom, cause I am almost exactly where you are right now (sleeved Sept. 26).  But I did want to say I sympathize with the liquids issue, and wondering when I'm going to be back to myself just a little bit.  Shoot, I had to have my DH dry off my legs from the knees down after I got out of the shower today!  I'm tired of sitting down, but don't have the energy or pain tolerance to do much else.

But we'll get through it!  One thing I do know is that today is better than yesterday was, and yesterday was better than the day before that.  So day by day is the new motto here!
