Oh and the Isopure feels weird going down it feels like it might come up (even though it hasn't). I just want to do what's right I took my dissolving b-12, I chewed my bariactric advantage chewable tablet, Ive taken my b-1 and thank GOD FOR THE LIQUID VICODEN and the prilosec.  So does this sound ok? HELP ME PLEASE ANYONE?

It sounds like you're doing fine to me.  Keep sipping to get as many fluids in as you can.  The swelling is probably what makes you feel like it might come back up, but it's good that you kept the fluids down.

I had a lot of swelling and had trouble getting much down, but I alternated water and protein drink.  The pain meds will help...just rest, sip and try to walk.  and repeat.

Hey there you are doing great. My surgeon told me in the first week just worry abour getting in my 64oz of fluid. He said don't worry to much about the vitamins and protein to the next week. Just focus on not getting dehydrated with the fluid. Gatorade G2 helped a lot. But as far as I can see you are doing great. Take it easy and the heating pad was my friend on my left side were I had the pain the most. Isopure I call it Isonasty because it is nasty. LOL

I'm not sure Sharon. You might have to ask someone who is farther out that I.

They tell you that to deter you from eating sweets. I can eat sweets no problem. That is why I stay away from them. Certain people have different reactions to certain types of foods. I would say stay away from sweets until maintenance stage. Once your in Ketosis and your body detox from sweets you won't want them anymore anyways.

I believe what you are referring to is dumping syndrome. This is very common in gastric bypass because sweets go directly from the pouch into the small intestines. The intestines can spasm when sweets are "dumped" and you get diarrhea as a result. Vsg patients are much less prone to this because the pyloric and pyloric sphincter is left intact. But should you be eating sweets anyway? High in sugar and calories!
