Great looking stuff Frisco. Purple cabbage with bleu cheese makes great slaw

Also, purple cabbage cooked and made sweet and sour with some chopped apple, balsalmic vinegar and raspberry jelly (could be sugar free or even a raspberry syrup) is really good. I make it with balsalmic vinegar and a very small amount of honey. So good.  Diane

I love me some BROCCOLI slaw...though I haven't tried it post VSG yet. A little bit of sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, soy and it was perfect.

I may need to try it again soon...

wish I like slaw, would be a nice way to give the feeling of carbs but without. Its just too sweet, or I should say..its sweet when I think cabbage should actually be salty not sweet. I am funny about things like that.

I do LOVE me some cabbage though!

My basic Cole Slaw......is soooo easy.....

If you don't want to cut cabbage....just buy you a pack of ready cut tri-color Cole Slaw Cabbage.

In a small bowl.....put some cabbage in it......put a little mayo.....just enough lightly coat it and bind it.....taste..... add salt.....taste....add pepper taste.....

From there you start adding anything!!!!

Great food !

Interesting you're showing photos of slaw. Just a couple of days ago I was wondering if it's something I could try. I haven't had any since before surgery. I think I'll give it a go and see how I do with it.

Around here we have a slaw dressing called Rudolph's. I haven't checked the label yet so I don't know if it's something I'll still use. But it sure is/was mighty good.

Love slaw, but never considered all the ways to dress it up! Nice!

Last time I was on atkins my sister taught me how to make cole slaw, I am going to find out the recipe from her. I thought it was some cream, vinegar and splenda. I hope she remembers how to make it. I know I was making it back then and loved it.

Yah know... you bring up a good point..... I think I'm making Slaw like my mom made it....Not Sweet...

She made it pretty basic..... Mayo, Salt, Pepper and Bacon.....

I'm thinking some Slaw I've had in resturants and other peoples...... have been sweet.....

I'm even thinking of going the other way even more...... Some Colemans Hot Mustard mixed in the mayo before mixing the Slaw....
