think its because i haven't had solid/full food and have just been on clear liquids and no protein yet but oh my goodness... the lack of energy is driving me crazy!

on a better note, i gave myself my own lovenox shot today instead of the nurse giving it!  i've given shots to myself before, but not for over a year so it took me some time to work up the nerve again.

i ended up having a rash on my stomach from the steri strips so called my dr.s office, got a call back in FIVE minutes from my dr. himself (i

Any chance you were a caffeine addict before and just now feeling withdrawls?  Happens a lot!

Caffeine withdrawal was my first thought.  I have been off of caffeine since before my surgery and even though I can have 2 cups a day I won't just because of the withdrawal symptoms.  Even before I gave it up I didn't drink a lof of caffeine at all.

How are you doing with liquids?  Headache and dizziness can also be signs of dehydration.  Congrats on doing your own injections.  As your diet progresses you'll have more energy.  Godd luck!

Could be dehydration, sip, sip, sip, or maybe some of the meds you maybe on? Keep in good contact with your doc and keep track of the water. Good Luck!
I can do it, I can do it, chugga, chugga, chugga said the little train! Thank you Lord for giving me the strength!

My surgeon said that on day six if we are feeling light headed that we could have a protein drink. But check with your surgeon. I had protein shots that were clear so I drank about a third of one but had no dizziness but it was clear so I just started to drink them anyways. They are not recommended as a good way to get protein in anyways but since I had them when I found out I still used them.

I have to ask what is a lovenox shot? And where do you get the shot in the stomach like insulin?  And is it common after this surgery to have to give yourself these shots?  I don't like shots but I can tolerate them as long as someone else is doing it I cant give them to myself.
