I fear this may happen, but I guess it's how we find who our true friends are. Alot of my friends are supporting me thru this but there is a couple who hasn't spoke to me since I had my surgery. Guess I will find out soon enough. But you keep doing you and you will make new friends who accept you and want the best for you. I've removed myself from the negative and I try to think positive whenever possible and it makes life so much more enjoyable.

I actually have been thinking that I want my my husband ( if i ever get married ) prolly someone who has had weight issues or surgery. I want to surround myself with emotional and spiritual compatable people. No more negative drama. right? So, if people dont talk to us anymore...
its their stuff right???

But i have lost her as a friend. I am tired of being belittled by her.
Its true what they have said in options or the BS-groups, we will lose friendships
and relationships. Just never thought some people would have been those people.
I hope your ok seperating from your friend. I think it is better for us that we lose these
people anyways.... I am right there with you.

She has just been diagnosed with Diabetes and is herself obese. I want to be there
for her, but she has not been there for me...I feel torn..
I must say that everyone her on OH have been very helpful....I love that everyone here is in the same boat. We all can relate to each other.. DOC I must say that you are awesome !!! You are always there to lend a ear, and always know that right thing to say.
I must say THANK YOU to you for being so helpful to all of us.
I too feel llike my friends on OH are a part of my new family. The family that can totally understand all this crazy post -op life....
