Yeah Me!
I started my pre-op diet just about a month ago (sep 19th). So far I've lost 12.2 lbs, .75 from my waist, 1.5 from my hips and 2" from my thighs!!! I remeasured my thighs 4 times and then had my husband do it. I really lost 2" on my thighs in one month. I tend to carry all my weight in my stomach so I know it'll be the slowest to lose (and why I have to lose over 50 lbs to just go down one size). I'm hoping with these numbers my doc will know I'm really wanting this surgery and hopefully let me take any surgery slot that might open up since they aren't booking any more surgeries right now.
I know compared to post surgery numbers they aren't fantastic but I'm pretty happy!

Yay you!
Can you find another surgeon that is booking surgeries? That seems a little extreme...booking far out is one thing, but not booking at all??

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
It's military so I could but then I can't have the VSG (Tricare doesn't pay for VSG but military hospitals do them). The problem is right now the bariatric team has to share ORs with the GI people, due to Bethesday being in chaos and not finished. There *should* be 2 more ORs done in January and then surgeries will pick right up. Until then you only get to fill in if someone backs out, becomes sick or whatever. Those of us who have lost a lot of weight get pushed to the head of the list because he doesn't require the 2 week liquid diet if you've lost a certain amount of weight pre-op.

I carry most of my weight in my stomach. Know what's cool? Once I got down to 190 or so, I no longer need to lose 50 lbs to go down a size. Now I go down a size when I lose 10 lbs. It's awesome. and weird. and a little scary.
Good job so far! For me, preop was much tougher than postop!!
