1 month surgervisary and i ate a cracker!!!!!!!
can i just tell you how wonderfully delicious that 1 square inch wheat reduced fat cracker tasted?!
had my 1.7 ounces of scrambled eggs and laughing cow light chipotle cheese wedge (my breakfast staple)
then said what the hell, i'm going to see if i can tolerate the cracker! (on my food plan for weeks 3-5). so excited, i feel like a whole new world is opening up for me!
down 20 pounds since surgery and while each day is a challenge for me, it's a life i know i'm going to be much happier in.

Congratulations on your weight loss! Well done :-)
However ... if I were you, I wouldn't waste sleeve space on a cracker, especially at just one month post-op. We have such a limited capacity that we don't really have room for things with very little nutritional value. Also, eating simple carbs may very well cause you to crave more of the same. (That is why I've regained 25 pounds. Once I started experimenting with crackers and such, the cravings overtook me, and I couldn't get it under control again.)
Now, many people will disagree with me, but that is my two cents. Best wishes :-)

Highest weight: 292 Pre-op weight: 265 Goal met: 150 Six years out: 185 and trying to lose again!
Thanks for the advice dorothy... i definitely agree that things with little nut. value are good to eat. I think now i'm just in "try other foods" mode because i am starting to transition to other foods. My food plan goes like this:
Weeks 3-4 start with pureed tuna, chicken, turkey, etc..., soft lowfat cheeses, fat free refried beans, hummus, and eggs all pureed.
Weeks 3-5 start to incorporate cooked soft vegetables, crispy crackers, mushy fruits, etc...
Week 5 all foods slowly.
hopefully it gets easier!

I can't think of anything that feels better in my tummy than 1 wedge of the laughing cow light chipotle with (2) crackers. Chicken, shrimp, fish always seem to get stuck in my tummy and I don't think I will every try beef(porterhouse) again. I think I put too much in my mouth at a time even though I chew and chew. I had 2-3 tablespoons of chicken salad about a hour ago and it's just standing in my chest. Time for some water.
I have lost about 25lbs since surgery.
