my surgery was oct. 13th a week later weighed 247. go back to him on mon. 11/08 I don't own a scale but everytime we go to walmart I go to the scale dept. and weigh well today IT looked like 244 so that is only a 3lb loss. been drinking my water and walking like crazy is this a stall. I'm a 52 yr old woman haven't had a monthly for like 2 or 3 months before surgery maybe some spotting. well it came on again I know tmi but is that hormones raging and could that be the problem for no weight loss.

I don't know how little.  But i lost 5lb the first month and could not understand it.  Weight loss has been slow but it's an anomaly to this surgery for sure.  I posted once to see if anyone had started off slow and caught up but i got no takers.  I lost 0 lb the first 10 days. I lost 5lb the first month.  8lb at six weeks. 16lb at three months.  that's cumulative.  My cals or carbs could not be lower and i exercise and get my liquids in no problem,  my BMR is supposedly 1345 but I'm doing 600-800 and not losing, so there are few answers out there.  I've had a full blood panel and there are no issues there. Went to a Dr other than surgeon to see if we can find a way around this and she wants me to raise my calories and carbs and decrease exercise.  Right now I'm ready to try anything.  I don't weigh either which has been a blessing since this watching this daily would have made me crazy but I'm thinking i may have to buy a scale now to see what does and does not work.  It's a learning curve.  But you are so early out you may just be in flux after the liquids at the hospital.  I'd say wait until your 6 week follow up to be concerned.  good luck.

When you have surgery, you generally gain several pounds in the hospital from all the fluids pumped in.  It's a big adjustment for your body, and it takes several weeks for your body to settle down.  Just in time for the 3-week stall to hit.  If you are following your plan and getting enough protein and fluids, and limiting your carbs, the weight will come off.  A lot of people will lose, hover at a weight for awhile +/- a pound or two, then lose, then hover again.  It goes on throughout your journey.  Try not to get discouraged.  When you are not losing pounds, you are losing inches.  Take your measurements, periodically try on clothes you think are too small...they may fit!  You don't always see it in the mirror.  I lost a lot in my face, neck and back early on.  One day I noticed less overflow around the bra straps.

Scales are different everywhere you go.  Get yourself a decent digital scale and go by that alone.

As the crow flies I have lost 8 lbs, from 291 to 283. But actually I went from 291 on the 10th to 298 on the 14th to 279 on the 28th to 283 yesterday?! I hate this damn mushie stage, it's carb-y and I'm hungry and ready for food!

I went from 249 surgery day to 263 when I was released from the hospital two days later. Then I steadily went down to 236 where I have sat for over a week. It is frustrating. I am eating 600-800 calories a day. My resting metabolism is 1100 a day. I may be a slow loser, but I am losing! I've been the band route, and this is so much better.

I've lost 15 lbs since surgery on Oct 4th. lost extra 10 lbs pre-op. Don't be hard on yourself. This is a lifestyle change and we're in it for the long haul. Blessings.

Hang in there!  The weight will come off.  I consider my weight loss to be slower than many of the other sleevers on here but I'm remaining optimistic, believing that over time, I will reach my goal.  It will happen for you too
