Men: Have you considered the plastics?
I am just beginning my weight loss surgery, but am curious - How many men have considered or done the plastics after their weight loss? If so what did you have done ? Was the experience worth it?

160 lbs lost. Surgeons Goal Reached in 33 weeks. My Goal in 37 Weeks.

Well... I'm still a ways out from the point where I would have it done. I'm not at my goal yet (45 pounds to go), then a while of really heavy weight training, and at least 2 years out from surgery (recommended waiting period to allow your body to adjust). But with the weight I've lost today and assuming that things don't tighten up much, I will be looking into it for sure. Now, my excess skin is not as bad as I thought it would be at this point, but it's there. I guess for me it would be upper arms, full body lift (to help with upper legs and med section, and if it's not corrected by weight training my chest.
MikeyMike recently had plastics. You'll mostly find him over on the maintenance board:

I'm definitely considering it. I think (?) I've got about 25 pounds to go. Like the other guy above, mine isn't as bad as others, but it's bad enough to bug me. The whole panni thing. Interferes with wearing clothes normally. On one hand, I feel bad spending so much money on surgery, but, I want to wear clothes normally.
I am definitely going to get plastics. I have it all planned out and I am starting to save now. I am going to get a full body lift with Dr Sauceda in Mexico. I think I am going to leave my arms alone, because I think I can fill them with enough muscle to have minimal skin.
Having already lost a ton of weight my gut is starting to look pretty deflated and nasty. It kind of sucks that losing the weight is only half the battle. The battle of the extra skin is the second battle. While some men have no problem with all the extra skin I am not and could not deal with it. I also want to get the fat taken out of the pubic region so I don't have that puffy pouch above my junk. I figure you only live once so why not have a hot body.
Am I looking forward to the pain. Uhh nooo. Am I looking forward to standing in front of a mirror naked and not being grossed out. Hell yeah!

It is certainly on the table, but I'll see how things settle out over the next year or so. I don't have enough to be considered a functional or medical problem, but with the amount of swimming that I do, it would be nice to have things tightened up some. In my non-expert opinion, it looks like I have a little bit of work needed in a lot of places, so I don't know if I can get away with just an abdominoplasty or if I have to go further - I'll get it evaluated by my wife's plastics guy when she decides to go in for her final phase (after a lower body lift and thigh lift from losing 200+ lb).
