New to forum/question about introducing soft foods
My advice is gonna be to take it slow. Wait a while between each bite. Give your body time to adjust. Listen to your body, it'll let you know when it doesn't like something. And being full or close to full is completely different after the sleeve so be ready to figure out what that is like as well.
Just take it easy on yourself for a while, you need the time to adjust. Best of luck!

I started soft foods on Tuesday and I do feel like they just sit there... It was easier for me with liquids but my doctor says take small bite and eat up to 6 times a day and do not drink fluids with the food. They say it does get easier if we just keep following the rules: small bite, small sips and if we follow those rules it will get better faster. So Hang in there and Walk Walk Walk when your stomach feel full that helps me a lot. Good Luck to you!
Seconded! I was sleeved on 11/2. The thing I have been spending time learning is how to listen to my stomach, and how it behaves. Its like someone took my old one out and I have a whole new digestive tract. Eat VERY Slowly, be kind with what you put in your stomach (Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, etc). Dont be in a hurry to experience a lot of new flavors in things.
One of the best pieces of advice I got when I got to the blended foods stage was to stop eating when you start burping. You will find that when you take that one extra bite or try to swallow that last bit that you get VERY uncomfortable, or even vomit.
Eggs seem to be the single most filling thing for some reason, even more than turkey or chicken has been. Even though I am son solid foods I still will have either 225 g of Greek Yogurt for breakfast or 186 g of lowfat cottage cheese. Those are really filling and fit my diet well.
You will find that so long on liquids and shakes has kind of reset your taste buds. I wouldn't have touched cottage cheese with a 39 1/2 foot pole before surgery, now its like crack to me. Enjoy learning about your new relationship with your stomach and food.
