Why does PMS effect restriction??

Sorry guys this would not apply to you. This strange issue has now happened 2 months in a row...for one day during PMS I have insatiable hunger and no restriction. Any other time of the month ...never hungry and strong restriction. Thankfully it seems to only last one day! Does this happen to other women on OH? I am trying to fill up on as much water as possible to stop the hunger feelings.

Yes, it happens to me every month.  I think that if I didn't have my vanilla soy chai latte, I might have eaten a whole cow in one day, 2-3 oz. at a time of course.

The only things that help me are drinking lots of extra water and crystal light, and keeping busy. I still find myself walking straight to the pantry every time I pass the kitchen, but now I take the time to really look at the food and tell myself that I don't really need it. It still doesn't really do much!

Yes. I find that this is true for me, too. I usually have a huge appetite around my period and am very revenous, whereas other days I hardly have any appetite. I listen to my body during these episodes and am back on my program when it's over... Ironically I have been loosing between 3-4 lbs. during this time, prior to my period. So breaking up the monotony seems to be working. Continued success to you!

Yup. I try to stay within my numbers. I usually have an extra helping of fish or chicken or snack on beef jerky or something like that. I sometimes allow myself an extra 200 calories or so if my body is really craving it. But listen to your BODY. Sometimes it's all in my head.

i have the same issue, I tend to eat a lot more during my TOM, I generally will even gain about .5lbs, but then on the last day i will loose about 3 lbs in one day...weird, but my eating habits must change enough to spur something...I hate fighting cravings though...
