Sad Trip with Big NSV's
Today I just got back from a trip across the country to Sacramento for my Aunts funeral. Very sad - but I'm Irish - so it's also a family reunion too - so really enjoyed seeing all my cousins, spending time with them, and hearing how great I'm looking.
Now for the NSV's - this is the first flight since surgery. I figured the belt would now fit and it did (yippy), plus the tray went down easily (hooray). But the thing that really made my day (week, year...) was a guy volunteered to give up his aisle seat to sit in the middle seat next to me so a couple could sit together. This really blew me away - I mean I'm used to the look of fear from everyone as I walked down the aisle - you know, please don't let her be next to me! To have someone give up the aisle - holy sh*t batman!
I was also able to run from gate to gate trying to make close connections home (didn't work out). I also survived a 20 hour ordeal getting from Sacramento to Baltimore with just 3 hours sleep. I think this would have killed me pre-surgery.
Still loving my sleeve!
