NSVs, chuckles and tears

In the past 10 days I've had several NSVs.
The first was at my doc's who has just cut my BP meds in half! That's an NSV that saves me money too as well as making me smile ear-to-ear. Plus, when he took my BP I noticed he used the regular sized cuff and it fit... first time that has happened in decades. I mentioned it and we both had a little chuckle about the many positives that have come from this surgery.
But much better than either of those is that in the past 10 days I have run into two people I have not seen in about six months and both of them broke into tears telling me just how wonderful I look and how happy they are for me.
Sharing a few tears of happiness with people you love may be one of the best NSVs in the world!

It's so amazing isn't it?  The health improvements are sooo exciting, and to see the tears of happiness that other people have for you just feels so good!  Congratulations!

Thanks and yes other's people tears do make me happy (under these kind of cir****tances of course... I'm not too mean...lol)

 THAT IS SO AWESOME! CONGRATS!!! I keep wishing that someone would do that for me :( unfortunately all those that have seen me and not have seen me in months don't mention a thing about my weightloss and I have lost over 100 lbs went from wearing a 6x to a 3x so I think it's very noticeable but no one has mentioned it except for my family that has been here for my moral support so I am soooooooo happy for ya! that has to be a GREAT FEELING! GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR EFFORTS FOR WORKING TOWARD YOUR NEW YOU!

I hear you... when I had lost nearly 90 lbs. no one... NOT ONE PERSON ... at work said even a single word to me.
Then suddenly, 10 lbs later, they start talking to me about it. I think at some point you just wear something new, change your hair style or some other little thing and people who see you everyday suddenly see you differently and then they take notice of the weight.
It's quite weird what people notice and don't ... but it's great having supportive famiily too... that is crucial... one of the people who cried was a sister who doesn't live that close to me so I hadn't seen her six months.
Believe me, suddenly someone unexpected will notice and then the people around will hear and suddenly be al "d'oh... so that's what it is..."

 So glad for you!!!!  Stupid question: What are NSV's?

Not a stupid question at all.... took me ages to figure it out.
It means Non Scale Victory... when pounds go down that's one kind of victory but the other things, like fitting a regular blood pressure cuff... that's a non scale victory.
