No progress at all and just plain dissapointed!
I had my surgery may 27 2011. When I had my surgery I weighed in at 317 and now weigh 255 (as of december 9, and I believe that I may have gained 10-12 lbs back through the holidays). I am crushed at my own disappointment, nobody's to blame but myself. I don't know how to get back on track, I'm struggling and scared that I'll never see my desired weight! I have no support in the house or outside the house. Sometimes I want to throw in the towel but am scared to do that!...#full of tears!

I'm sorry you don't have the support you need close by. Have you tried going to support group meetings? You can do this. Start posting you meals here daily, in the what are you eating today thread. That way you can hold yourself accountable to us. Do you think that will help? Don't give up on yourself. You have lost 62lbs and that is not easy no matter how you look at it. Keep your head up and get back in the game.
I haven't had my surgery yet so I don't really know how you are feeling. But you need to give yourself credit for losing as much as you have!! DON'T GIVE UP!! You've done an awesome job so far and YOU CAN DO IT!!
You are human and life happens and sometimes things come up we don't plan on. But when you go off program, forgive yourself and get back on it again. I believe you can do it!! Everyone on this board believes you can do it!! We are your family and your support, so come to us when you need us. Feel free to message me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
I too won't have any support at home since I live alone but that's we are here for. WE ARE YOUR SUPPORT!!
So...what can I do to help?? Please let me know - I want to help!

I'm so sorry you are struggling. This isn't an easy road.
But, you've still got your tool! You can do this! Go back to basics, such as eating protein first; not drinking with meals; cutting out carbs/sugar/alcohol, etc.
Make sure you get 70g or more protein a day, less than 40g carbs per day, drink 64oz or more water per day. Move your body in the forms of exercise you like most.
Track your food. It will help you understand what's going well and what's not.
Don't throw in towel... get back in the game. You can do it!

First - You are not alone. We are here to help you however we can.
Second - No Need to feel discouraged. What we are doing is very hard. Sometimes, it goes slow, sometimes it goes easier. The best thing to do is to just hold on to your plan and your goals. THe rough patches will even out.
Third - No need to feel so discuraged and disappointed. IF you fall of the plan for a little while, just pick yourself up and start over. You can do it, many of us have.
Finally, have you looked up any support groups in Knoxville? We have many around Nashville. It helps to go and be with people who are going through what we are, and people who have been trough it and come out the other side. Look some up and go to one. I think you will see it makes a world of difference.
Good Luck & God Bless.

Hi, Its ok I know how you feel,I am experience the samething.I could not break my 203 to 206 pounds. I was really scared. I am back on track this morning I am 194.I must say I must give thanks to my OB family because reading everyone's post is what did for me. I have no support at home I live alone but,I try to read each post twice aday. Hang in there log everything you put in your mouth and be true to yourself. please dont give in you are stronger then that. Use that too,l God bless and keep us posted we care...
My heart is breaking for you. You know what you did to be successful in the past, you are going to have to find that place inside yourself to get to that place again. That place is still there and it has made you so successful in the past.
Please try to find a support group. Use this forum to document all your food, start journaling and stay in the "one day at a time mode". Take a short walk everyday until you are back in the swing. I will be praying for you. Sharon

Good for you for coming back here and posting your situation honestly. Great first step!
I've seen a lot of people have success by literally "starting over". Put yourself on a liquid diet for 2 weeks, just like you had to do right after surgery. Track everything you eat. If you aren't doing that already, sometimes the simple act of tracking and measuring everything can make a significant difference.
Your tool is still there! It's just waiting for you to use it! :)
By the way --- have you seen your surgeon lately? Don't be afraid to go see your surgeon and/or their nutritionist to help get back on track. They want to see you succeed too!

You're already taken the first step here. . . recognizing that you need help. Like others have said, you have the tool to get started back. Even though you do not have support at home, you have tons of support here on the message board. All of us are in this together! Do not be disappointed with yourself any longer. Start today with step 3 and go from there. You can do it! Today is a new day. You have lots of cheerleaders right here. Please keep us posted!!!!
Sending positive support and energy your way! The good news is, your tool will pick up where it left off when you do! In addition to a support group, I would consider individual therapy or a life/ nutrition life coach. One-on-one support will give you a place to share, vent, and plan.... the shame game is so hard to fight, but you deserve all the best!
