Kinda discouraged, trying not to beat myself up.
Ok I'm almost 3 months out and the first month lost 17 lbs the second month lost 15 well this March 1st is my third month and so far I've only lost 2lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know there are certain factors playing a part such as.. I finally got my period since surgery.. 3 mos late. It lasted a week longer than normal so I know I was bloated.. then there's the carb situation.... since I was told to up mine I did real good at first but then right around cycle time I started to go a bit crazy with them. I've since realized I am one that needs to keep track of my carbs in order to stay accountable so I'm back to that now.
Then I have also been retaining water.. had to take a water pill for the first time since surgery cuz my foot was so painfully swollen. But in doing so I have not been getting in all the water I think I need. *sigh* And I think getting enough helps with the weight loss. I just feel like it's been a viscious circle.
Also I'm wondering about this 3 week stall I've heard people mention.. is it one that happens at three weeks or is it one that lasts three weeks?
I have to see my team next week and I'm feeling very nervous and anxious about it fearing they will think I'm failing.

Stalls, or pauses, can happen at any time during the weight loss process. The three week stall just seems to be a common one.
Sounds like you know what your issues are. You've also had great results for 2 months and your body just may be re-grouping. Tweak what needs to be tweaked and have patience......I know, easier said than done!

Carbs will definately stop the weight loss, making it really challenging. I know its hard to find time or energy to excercise but this was the best thing for me. My schedule was really hectic so I would get up at 5am to get it over with first thing in the morning, if I left it for later it would never happen. Every time I hit a stall I would make sure to walk on my treadmill at least 30 min a day and that would bring everything back to place.
Live Each Day As If It Were The Last!
I haven't had the surgery yet but hope to by end of March. What I thought about after reading your post is how you seem to be looking at the half empty glass. You've lost 34 lbs!!!! Did you ever lose 34 lbs. in 3 months before you had this done? I'm pretty sure I haven't. I think you may have set yourself too high of a goal and need to remember that every single lb lost is one closer to a healthier you. You need to pat yourself on the back for all you have accomplished. Don't give up!
OMG Rubytues I feel the same way some times. I am 1 day after you my surgery was the 2nd. I too have only lost 45lb as of today, my stall started the secound week and lasted for five weeks. than weight started to come off but has slowed down again. I was told by others that there is a 3 month stall too so i am praying that it only lasts 1 week not five. I so wanted to be at 15lb lost by 3 month so i too am disappointed. We just got the luck to be slow losers but slow and steady wins the race and we will both get there.
Hi I am so happy I saw your post .I am almost 3 months out and have been stressing feeling I am not losing enough. I haven't lost weight in a week. I exercise at least 4 days a week or more most weeks. I have been having a hard time getting my protein in as well as water :( I think that we just get so consumed with the numbers and forget this is a journey and not a race. This will take time and if we do everything we are suppose to do we will not fail . You are doing great keep up the good work. We will break our pause / stall which ever it is we are experiencing :)
Thanks for the encouragement folks. I just got back from the gym and I think not visiting as often as I had in the past is playing a part too. I was going four days a week for those two months and now have been lucky to get there twice a week. I do have a couple of dvd's I bought though so I will force myself to do those when I can't make it out to the gym.
I wasn't trying to sound negative or half glass empty.. and of course I've never lost that much weight in three months BUT when I def have lost more than two lbs in a month LOL So that's what got me freaked a bit.

I had surgery November 5th, January 1 I had a stall that lasted for 13 days and then I lost 1 lb over the next week I lost another pound. So for the whole month of January I lost 3 lbs total. I was a little frustrated but I read that these things happen and that even though the scale is not moving you often lose inches. I went from a size 20 to a size 18 at the end of that stall. Now I am averaging about 8-10 lbs a month. So I think yours is just a stall, hormones, water retention etc... can you do some walking, maybe swim or stationary bike to sweat out the system? that way you don't have to worry about taking in too much water. movement that makes you sweat helps you system work more efficiently. Hope this helps a little.
I was debating on whether I wanted to post a similar post this morning. I was sleevedon Dec. 22 and until mid-February, the weight was coming off at roughly 1/2 lb/day - some days even more. Fast forward to today - I've only lost 3lbs since Feb. 14th and I'm starting to get discouraged. I even expressed that to DH this morning (to which he replied that he didn't think I had anything to worry about!). I am exercising a minimum of 4 days/week and I'm right on target with my calorie/carb intake, so I'm not really sure what's going on. However I know that I'm not getting my water in...
