Chorizo & Eggs
Your son is correct !!!!
It's called "Food Lube" in sleeve life.
When you advance to solid foods and dense proteins......
Food Lube is very helpful......cause your feeding a tube now.....not a a big balloon.......
Ingest your food wet and well chewed......
Soups as gravy works well.....Greek Yogurt Aioli.....just not ketchup during WL (sugar)
Chorizo/Sausage may be a bit fatty and salty for WL....more of a maintenance food.....Spiced up ground chicken works well.

Have you tried soy chorizo? It's pretty tasty. I love chorizo & eggs but now I eat the soy version.
That might make a fine meal LONG after surgery. Eggs + chorizo + refried beans on the side = a HUGE meal.
Yes it has tons of protein and would be fairly healthy post op meal....but you will be lucky to fit in more than ONE egg for the first few months after and you might not be able to eat much more than that for quite some time.
Don't plan on having "sides" of much of anything for quite awhile.
