Do you relish challenges? What is your next one?

So - many types of personalities in this world.

This goes out to my Type A brethren, those driver personalities.  What will your next challenge be?

As I lost weight, I felt great!  I was really making progress.  Then, as I neared my goal... I started getting that itch.  You know the feeling if you are a challenge-seeker.  That sense of small vacuum that needs to be filled.  So I started a couch-to-5K program, and while on it, hit my weight goal.

Now I'm less than two weeks away from completing the C25K program, and I'm starting to feel that itch come back again - and I wonder how I will next challenge myself?  Cycling?  Going to a gym and doing cross-fit?  Dressing up in my slimmest clothes and breaking out of my shell by going clubbing?  Haven't decided yet.... but the itch is coming back....

I for one vote you post pics of you in those clothes before you hit the club ;)

Mine, if I choose to accept it- once I get past my first weight goal, and drop a little more- bodybuilding!
I loved, with a capital L,  the feeling that lifting gave me. I loved it during the process, and after.. I loved having nice muscles, and back years ago I was able to get some really nice ones popping. I want that again. That's mine. Especially now that I can see the results easier!

Someday, I'd love to take an overnight backpacking trip.. like a good 10miler.

Why don't you start bodybuilding now? Why wait??? Increased lean muscle mass burns more calories at rest and muscles help to fill out your skin.

I'm one that prefers to do cardio and light strength work to lose, then alter my eating (upping protein and such) in order to bulk up... personal preference, but I don't do well with trying to lose and lift heavy at the same time :) seems to work against one another too much.

Everyone is different, but it definitely helped me to lose weight and build some muscle at the same time. I have been working with a trainer since I was 4 months out, and we work in cycles, including heavy weights (for me:)). During that time, I have definitely decreased my body fat and have some muscle mass, but I don't think anyone would say that I am bulky. Actually, my cardio tends to be lighter than my strength training routine. My eating has been about the same the entire time, higher on the protein side, but I still eat some healthy carbs.

I would love to do an over night back packing trip - even a multi--day one. First, I need to get some medication or therapy for my bug issues, and then I'll be good to go.

LOL, girl after my own heart. I can't stand bugs. Camping to me involves a luxury cabin, not a tent. :)

I am almost at goal so my current challenge is simply getting there.  its hard at the end!

Then, it will be shopping for a new wardrobe, mostly business and business casual clothing.

After that, may attempt the Rock N Roll half marathon in Vegas in December.  i am currently running two+ miles at a time so have lots of training to go yet if am going to make it!

For me it is kayaking. It is something I have always wanted to do, but  felt I was too big to even fit in the kayak.  I am feeling much more confident now, so by summer, I hope to give it a try.
