Why-Loose Skin....???

It really boggles my mind that some people think that you can lose 100lbs. or half your size and NOT have skin issues????

Some even seem surprised or appalled that weight loss could lead to loose skin....some have even mentioned they would rather NOT lose the weight because they didn't want loose skin......

Really???

I just thought it was obvious....I never expected the elastic in my stretched out underwear to come back?

Ha! I don't need the extra drama. I have excess skin and thinner hair, and I look fabulous!

I see it as I always had excess skin.  Now I just don't have the fat filler.

I'll cut it off one day, but I'm not going to worry about it now. I had that excess skin for over 20 years.  My focus is on weight loss.

I always use the analogy of a blown up baloon..
You can't have a baloon blown up to it's max for 30 + years then let out the air and not have it shriveled and wrinkled...
Seriously???? That's what clothes are for...Or surgery if you take that route.

Yeah... I'm not so sure that I agree about this sounding "surprising."

Granted, electronic communication's biggest flaw is that tone can often be misinterpreted, and this is true of anything... emails, texts, forum posts, or anything else.

But it did strike me as being a bit of a snide comment, at the very least.

I find it surprising that people think they can lose over 100lbs and not have skin issues.  That is what i took the poster to be saying. Now tone, tone is something that can be interpreted or projected.

True, but the reason the tone seemed a bit snide to me was because of the underwear stretching analogy.  The post would have made just as much sense without it.

Not arguing with your interpretation... just saying I can see where some might think this post was meant to poke fun.
