Poll: PB2
I love PB2. Recently I started reconstituting it with sugar free carmel or hazelnut syrup. OMG it is soooo good. I often make a cheese crisp and use that like a cracker with the mixed up PB2. I bought a 4 pack from the manufacturer last time. I think it is worth it in spades.

Leah, yea its a bit pricey but I just reordered from netrition and got the bulk bag 16 oz of powder for $7.99 and $4.99 shipping, the best deal I found, way better then my first purchase at PB2's site, especially if you can use something else on netritions site to dilute the shipping. For me; its a nice treat and allows me to get some peanut butter in my 600 ish daily calorie count, that I otherwise would not get during my weight loss phase, love em both chocolate is such a treat...

I just bought a jar each of PB2 regular and chocolate at $6 a jar at Market Street grocery store. The store isn't as close to me as I like - about 15 miles away - but it is close enough and I may start doing the bulk of my grocery shopping at that store.
I tried both of the PB2 flavors by themselves in a "by spoon" test and found the regular to be a little dry - needed a smidge more water, but the chocolate was just right.
For brunch today had something new - a slice of Julian Bakery cinnamon raisin bread toasted with 1/2 tsp. lightly salted butter, 2 tbsp. PB2 regular, and a slice of 2% reduced fat cheddar cheese. The stats on that: 255 calories, 24 protein, 7 net carbs, 339 sodium, 10 fat, 15 fiber. The carbs are 20 total if not counting as net carbs. This meal is higher in calories than the 200 I generally try to stay around per meal but this is my brunch on a Saturday morning and I'm about to go out and do a few hours of manual labor in my yard and on my porches - mowing, raking, trimming bushes, sweeping, washing furniture, etc.
The regular low carb #1 Julian Bakery bread is fewer calories and was my preference to try first but this bread doesn't stay on the distributor's shelves long - had to take what I could get.
Toast with peanut butter and cheese will be an addition to my meal choices. I need those fiber grams!
I can tell you that the cheese/PB2/toast is sitting pretty heavy on my stomach but I'm tolerating it. The bread is very dense.
I'm looking forward to using the PB2 in other ways - the chocolate as a coating on banana slices for a snack and mixed in sugar free puddings and shakes. I'd like to try the recipes others have mentioned but I'm not much of a cook.
My comparison of PB2 to other peanut butters -
regular commercial peanut butters - PB2 has much better numbers in sodium, fat, sugars, etc. and tastes comparable
Walden Farm's peanut butter - PB2 tastes better and has protein and a lot less sodium
Fifty-50 diabetic friendly peanut butter - PB2 has a lot less calories and sodium and tastes comparable
As I generally paid $4 to $5 for a jar of peanut butter, the $6 price I got at Market Street is higher but not prohibitive.
This peanut butter comes in a powdered form so it has a portability factor and can be kept in my emergency kit to carry with me to use when good food options are slim to none.

I LOVE Market Street!! It's not close for my regular shopping but if I'm near it, I stop by to pick up some of my regular favs they have.
Good to know they sell the PB2, I buy it locally at a sport nutrition shop and pay over $8 per jar. Sounds like I will be going to Market Street for it as well.
So my question is, did you buy the Julian bread at Market Street? If not, where do you buy yours at? I've been wanting to try it but havent found a place that sells it locally.
Thanks!!

I checked Julian Bakery's bread store locator. The first place I tried - Health Hut in Bedford, Texas, was out. I need to try them again as they order regularly but the manager told me to call first next time because the bread flies off the shelves the minute it comes in. The place I got the Cinnamon Raisin bread from was way over in Dallas on Garland Rd. - Natural Grocer by Vitamin Cottage - at $8 a loaf. They had a bigger variety of the Julian Bakery breads but the Low Carb High Protein #1 bread I was looking for was also sold out there. I won't be able to eat this bread more than at the rate of one slice per day and probably won't eat it every day so a loaf of 16 slices will more than likely last me a month. As it has no preservatives, it needs to be kept in the freezer with only a few pieces thawed out at a time and stored in the refrigerator for immediate use. When I find this bread and try it, if I like it I will probably buy 2-3 loaves at a time because it is so hard to find.
Just a note: My guts have already told me "thanks" for the 15 grams fiber this morning.
