What to do when different doctors tell you to eat different things?

I do green smoothies, I take my premier rtd protein shake (vanilla) add 1-2 cups of spinach and kale(raw), a couple frozen strawberries, a few ice cubes and blend. Very yummy, if it was gross I wouldn't drink it. I do not eat thinks that I don't like.

I have started putting fruit in my protien shakes.

strawberries, blueberries, frozen mixed berries and such
for instance

1 cup orange juice, 1 scoop vanilla powdered protien mix, handfull of frozen strawberries and blend.  Its a wonderful frozen drink.   Or relace orange juice for lowfat milk and its like a strawberry shake.   I do this alot because I have a health issue that requires I eat the fruits and veggies.  I still watch carbs but I no longer stick to the 40 carbs a day and Im still losing at 1 yr out.

Good luck on everything

Make the Doctors talk.  What elements that you get from the fruits that you are not getting from a supplement?  Do both doctors have a complete picture of your health needs?  I wouldn't count on anyone reading everything in a file.

Bingo !!!

You need your doctors to talk and come up with a solution......

This is truly a specific cir****tance that probably should have been discussed prior to WLS.

Yea Frisco- didn't know prior to WLS.  There was a conversation about the skin cancer, but that was a non-issue with WLS.  This came up because the doc recommended a colonoscopy given the family history and having active cancer.

I'd call the Docs and talk it through until you know the what, the why, and have a plan.
