twenty calories a day aren't enough for me

Today I had bust out and get some sugar ... and I feel much bettter. My nutrinionist wants my drinks to be less than 10. Welll I was drinking 0-5grams of sugar 3 times a day. Protein very low in sugar and about 3 onces of broth a day.
I had that sugar free yuck mouth and feeling dehydrated..... I wasn't getting in enough liquids.
Today I woke up and Marched off to walgreens and bought my all time favorite Arizona half and half ice tea.....
A twenty ounce bottle total 150 cals ...39 grams of sugar. Well if this is what it takes to keep me from passing out then fine.....
I have lost a total of 26 pounds in 12 days on the twenty calorie plan, but by day 11 I was glossy eyed and staggering, not even funny.
Once I am able to get in more protein i will eliminate my drink of choice and go back sugar free.
I feel like my my old self, revived......
I'd rather sip this then end up back in the hospital. Going in and down rather lovely.

Glad you found a way to stay hydrated... the sugar free yuck mouth can be very unsettling at times!

Having said that, make sure you are getting in as much protein as you can. You don't want that tea to spike your blood sugar too much.

Have you tried the Mio Sweet Tea flavor enhancers for water.  They are great tasting, calorie free and sugar free.

I love Mio too! Wal Mart has a store brand of this product now also, so it's a *****eaper. Mio could not be better or more convenient. I thank the gods of impulse shopping that looked down upon me that day that I was waiting in line and allowed me to pick one of those bad boys up off the rack! *grin

Thanks everyone!!!!!
I am gonna run out and buy that Mio.....
I am trying to avoid the hospital

Peeches, thanks for looking out. So far today I had two servings of protein and drank 20 ounces of liquid and I still have plenty time left in this day. Yesterday I felt as if i was at deaths door..... Much better today.
