Finished my first 5k race today!

So today I ran my first 5k, I ran the whole way and finished with a time of 35.26! Although I have run the distance before, this just seemed so much more overwhelming and I crossed the finish line crying like a baby, I just can't even believe how far I have come.

Wow Courtney that is so awesome! Congrats to you. I am sure crossing that finish line was emotional after coming from being over 300 lbs. What an accomplishment! No wonder I didnt get my PITA message today haha!

First, thank you! It literally took my breath away and I just started crying as I saw that finish line looming and knowing how much I had overcome to get to that point, the race staff thought something was wrong and came running and I could barely get out that I was just overwhelmed with joy b/c I was so winded LOL

HA HA, I went to text you after it was over to tell you to get moving, but my son had been playing Angry Birds on it the whole time I was running and it was dead! LOL Then we stayed at the stadium for the baseball game and by the time we got home I was DEAD on my feet.
